NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 14, 2002
RedDot Solutions, a leading provider of online content management solutions, today announced that the March of Dimes, the largest organization committed to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality, has implemented RedDot's Content Management Server (CMS) Professional on the organization's Web site, www.modimes.org.
Using RedDot Content Management Server (CMS) Professional, the March of Dimes now empowers its content contributors to control their online content on the 400-page site.
"The March of Dimes had an urgent need to implement a content management system that offered XML capabilities, syndication and content leasing, flexibility, personalization and ease of use so any authorized staff member could post online content," said Marc Sirkin, Director, Web Alliances and Marketing, of the March of Dimes. "After an extensive search, we selected RedDot because it could deliver the tools needed to make our site more efficient and dynamic. We had a seamless implementation that took only one month."
Previously, the March of Dimes updated its Web site using a homegrown e-mail notification system and Microsoft's FrontPage. Nearly 20 people submitted content for HTML coding that was handled by only one person. Now, these 20 content contributors can edit, add or delete content themselves - giving them more control over their work and freeing up the IT person to focus on infrastructure and other related initiatives.
"Thousands of people rely on the March of Dimes' Web site for information regarding birth defects and the health of babies," said Detlef Kamps, president of RedDot Solutions. "Using RedDot, content is more quickly posted to the site, giving consumers and health care professionals the critical information they need when they need it."
