OMG Announces Integrate 2002; Conference Will Canvass Enterprise Application Integration

NEEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 16, 2002

The Object Management Group(TM) (OMG(TM)) announces the launch of Integrate 2002, an event that will focus on planning, managing, building, measuring and maintaining distributed applications based on many different infrastructure standards, including OMG's own and other key industry standards. The first in a series, Integrate 2002, will be held November 19-20, 2002 in Washington, DC, USA.

The two-day event will address the constant churn in the technological landscape and how this affects enterprise application integration strategy. Strategies for integrating corporate assets, measuring the ROI of IT integration projects and addressing everyday system integration problems in an era of shrinking budgets will be addressed. Topics will include; Data Integration Issues for the Large Enterprise, Web Services - Surviving the Transition, Project Management for the MDA-Driven Enterprise, Modeling and Data Warehousing: Applying the State of the Art to Your Business, plus many more.

In October of last year, OMG Japan successfully ran Integrate 2001 in Tokyo. OMG anticipates an even greater response and rate of success for its first Integrate event in the U.S. Participation/attendance for Integrate 2002 will target senior level technical managers who address organizational issue concerning integration. Integrate 2002 will be jointly located with the Washington, DC OMG Technical Meeting.

Call for Presentations

OMG is seeking experienced presenters to teach a 1.5 hour session in their area of expertise pertaining to enterprise application integration, or to be part of a panel. Topics should be important to those who need to learn best practices and how to measure and manage implementations based on a variety of standards. Note that user case study focus will be given high priority by the program committee.

To propose a related presentation/tutorial/case study topic, send a one-page summary with areas of expertise and interest with a short biography and past relevant speaking experiences, by June 12 to integrate-submissions@omg.org.
