LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 2002

Key3Media Group, Inc., (NYSE: KME) announced today that their affiliate Event Advertising, LLC, doing business as Bold Outdoor Media, the leading provider of building wrap advertising, signed a five-year promotional agreement with SMG, the largest private facility management company in the world. Under the terms of the agreement, SMG will work exclusively with Bold Outdoor Media to promote the sale of Bold Outdoor Media's products and services at more than 130 SMG facilities.

"Bold Outdoor's building wraps are one of the most unique and intriguing advertising creations available in the market today," says Wes Westley, president and CEO, SMG. "Due to their immense size, building wraps generate a tremendous amount of attention from both motorists and foot traffic alike. We have more than 130 facilities in major metropolitan areas just waiting to be wrapped. This is a tremendous opportunity for us to work closely with Bold Outdoor to meet our client's messaging and advertising needs."

"How do you want to create buzz around your brand?" asks Mark Bakar, president, Bold Outdoor Media. "You could rent a blimp, spend millions on television advertising, run through the gamut of traditional print or radio campaigns or you can do something unique with us and wrap a building with your message. We're ready to put our experience to work for SMG and are excited to introduce more companies to the benefits of building wrap advertising. SMG's depth of resources and its unparalleled expertise, leadership, and understanding of the events business, makes it the perfect promotional partner."

Typical building wraps are much larger than the average billboard and are located in urban areas. Bold Outdoor advertising displays are applied to the surface of the building with self-adhesive vinyl. Advertisers gain creative versatility, vibrant color, durability, and the ability to reproduce images precisely.

"What is different about what we do is that there is no permanent change to the infrastructure," explains Bakar. "We're not drilling into a building, not putting a billboard in front of the building, not blocking anyone's view. Photo-quality, four-color images are printed on see through perforated vinyl film using wide-format digital imaging so our clients can relay their message with the greatest impact. When the campaign is over, the banner is easily removed and the next one is applied."
