TRIER, Germany & AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 2002
Touch International Inc. today announced that Signet Inc., an authorized Prime View distributor, has joined the emerging Touch International Partners (TIP) program and selected Touch International as their preferred touchscreen vendor.
TIP is targeted for systems integrators and value-add resellers.
"We're pleased to have Signet join our TIP program," stated Michael Woolstrum, president and chief executive officer of Touch International. "As recognized experts in the design and manufacture of touch-specific products, we get customer requests everyday for references for value-added supplier and service providers. Signet is a proven supplier and I feel confident referencing them to our customers."
TIP is a customer loyalty program designed to enable Touch International to pass on customer references to qualified, value-added resellers of the company's products. Program participants enjoy flat rate pricing, reference sales and opportunities to participate in joint promotional events.
Signet, the company's first program member, specializes in producing display enhancements, such as high brightness and anti-reflective film and coatings. As a TIP participant, Signet distributes Prime View's Liquid Crystal Modules (LCMs) and performs integration and display enhancements on Touch International's touchscreen component. Signet offers a full range of display sizes, ranging from 1.6" up to 10.4". Target applications include PDAs, process control, point-of-sale and military.
"Our reputation is dependant on the quality of the products we use in our manufacturing process," stated Paul Balbas, national sales manager, Signet. "We performed quality assurance testing and exercised Touch International's performance. Their knowledge, expertise and responsiveness make them a valuable manufacturing partner."
Signet will debut their new, 500 nit, 6.4" color, TFT Touch LCD Module at SID, May 21, 2002, in Boston, Mass., Touch International booth No. 3330.
