MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 27, 2002

eNGENUITY Technologies Inc., (TSE:EGY), a leading supplier of collaborative tools for the smart engineering over the Web of high-reliability systems, today announced that their Qualifiable Code Generator (QCG) software flew aboard the Pilatus PC-21 Trainer Proof of Concept aircraft on April 26, 2002.

The actual aircraft is expected to fly for the first time in July.

The latest development update to the graphics portion of the mission system software was automatically generated using eNGENUITY Technologies' QCG software from the original design concept. This graphics portion of the software is the first software to be automatically generated with the intent of flying in the future and actually being flown.

The displays generated by eNGENUITY Technologies' QCG software worked as designed. This is a major milestone for Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. and eNGENUITY Technologies Inc. in the development process.

"We are extremely proud that our QCG software was one of the major components that allowed the flight of the Pilatus PC-21 Trainer Proof of Concept aircraft as designed and on schedule," said Philippe Collard, President and CEO of eNGENUITY Technologies Inc. "This remarkable achievement will break new ground and encourage other industry leaders such as Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. to place their trust in our company's technology for their future avionics projects."

Software deployed in both military and commercial aircraft today requires 100% reliability for the sake of the passengers' and crew members' lives that depend on the error-free functionality. Industry leaders, such as Pilatus Aircraft Ltd., spend a great deal of effort ensuring that the software they use in aircraft performs as intended. The FAA has published stringent guidelines on how qualifiable development software is to be developed, verified and certified by such companies. eNGENUITY Technologies' QCG software - the first embedded graphics development tool in the world to be produced under the very stringent RTCA DO-178B regulations and delivered as a qualifiable development tool - provides a unique, high-end solution to meet these requirements and significantly reduces the time and cost involved to develop software applications.
