Allegiant Signals New Fare Plan Featuring Simplified
Fare Structure and Lower Prices
In response to customer demand for low prices and simple fare structures, and to firmly establish itself as the low fare leader on its two Las Vegas routes, Allegiant Air today announced a "Summer Fare Sale" with major reductions in fares linking Las Vegas with Colorado Springs and Fresno. The airline said the new prices are the first step in Allegiant's plan for lower and simplified fare offerings to its customers.
Allegiant's "Summer Fare Sale" price between Colorado Springs and Las Vegas is set at $79, a 68% savings compared to the unrestricted one-way coach fare of $249 on the route. The previous low fare on the route was $99.
The airline's "Summer Fare Sale" price between Fresno and Las Vegas is $59, a 54% savings compared to its unrestricted coach fare of $129 on the route. The previous low fare on the route was $69.
The new fares, good for every coach seat on every flight, are valid for departures from Colorado Springs and Fresno on Sundays through Thursdays, and from Las Vegas Mondays through Fridays from June 2 through August 28. Allegiant's "Summer Fare Sale" tickets must be purchased by July 15 and have no other advanced purchase requirements.
On the airline's other route, linking Fresno and Reno, the airline has had a $49 fare for every seat on every flight since the service began May 19.
"We aim to build traffic on these routes by offering these terrific fares and a very simple fare structure," said Maury Gallagher, Allegiant Chairman. "Like in other places in the country, we think there is room in these markets for a low cost carrier with low fares to be successful. If the customers in Colorado Springs and Fresno support it, we see fares like these continuing into the future," said Gallagher.
Gallagher said the airline is finalizing plans for the rollout of a new fare structure later this summer that will feature a simplified fare offering on all flights.
"This is a page from the playbook of successful airlines we're all familiar with," said Gallagher. "But there's nothing like it today in either Fresno or Colorado Springs."
Gallagher said Allegiant's low fare offering along with the airline's increasingly popular Allegiant Vacations program featuring complete "air and hotel" packaged vacations to Las Vegas will give customers some great bargains for either business or leisure travel to Las Vegas this summer.
