Aircraft Shopper Online Serves as Exclusive Sales Agent

GBJTV, an exclusive new DVD-based video magazine for top-tier business jet owners and pilots, has released a maiden edition that includes multimedia ads for 11 pre-owned business aircraft that are currently on the market.

Each ad was placed by Aircraft Shopper Online (ASO), the online marketplace that is serving as the publication's exclusive advertising sales agent, and consists of a two- to three-minute audiovisual tour of the aircraft with close-up footage and voice-over interviews with the dealer or broker.

"This is a sophisticated, flashy and unusual sales channel, and we believe it holds a lot of promise," said Rick Engles, president of Vance and Engles Aircraft Brokers, which is using GBJTV to promote a $22.5 million Gulfstream IV once owned by the Sultan of Brunei. "We're looking to get the best possible retail dollar for our clients by using any and all of the various marketing tools that are available, and this is a new opportunity that we are glad to participate in."

Other aircraft advertised on the debut edition include a 2000 Gulfstream V owned by embattled Enron Corporation, a 1989 Raytheon Hawker 800A, a 2001 Falcon 2000, a 1981 Challenger CL600, a 2001 Boeing Business Jet, a 1984 Falcon 200, a 1985 Citation III, a 1987 Falcon 50, a 1996 Challenger SE, and a 2000 Global Express.

GBJTV (Global Business Jet TV) is an upscale DVD magazine that is distributed on a quarterly basis to the 6,200-plus pilots and senior executives who own and operate medium, large and long-range business aircraft in 90 countries. Produced by GBJTV in the United Kingdom, it is designed to reach the elusive top-tier business audience through in-flight entertainment systems -- either during a flight for a busy CEO, or between flights for pilots who stay on board while waiting for their next takeoff -- or on home DVD players or DVD-enabled computers.

In addition to the $1,250 ads in GBJTV's "Jet Portfolio" section, every edition contains video-based sections dedicated to business aviation news, pilot resources, and lifestyle reports on topics ranging from superyachts and safaris to warbirds and fine wines, plus links to relevant web sites and extended news reports.
