Infowave Software (TSE:IW), a global provider of software that connects enterprise applications to wireless devices, today announced it has been chosen to participate in the Microsoft Mobility Partner Advisory Council (MPAC). Microsoft Corp. formed the council in an effort to bring the most innovative and successful solutions to market with like-minded companies investing heavily in mobility.
Focused on enabling the wireless workplace since 1993, Infowave's family of solutions connect workers wirelessly in real-time to their corporate data, enabling businesses to communicate more easily, deliver more effective customer service and conduct business from any location. The company provides a full suite of wireless solutions, ranging from the individual email service of Symmetry Pro to the Wireless Business Engine, a wireless platform that provides access to email and collaboration tools, corporate intranets, the Internet, Web-enabled applications and legacy and client/server applications from a wide range of wireless devices such as WAP phones, handheld computers and laptops, and PDAs.
"Infowave looks forward to participating in the MPAC and contributing to further advances in wireless solutions built on Microsoft platforms," said Sal Visca, Infowave Chief Technology Officer. "Collaboration between industry leaders is vital to ensuring that enterprise customers receive ultimate value when selecting mobile solutions. This is especially true in the wireless domain when there are so many parts of the ecosystem that have to work collectively to make the experience outstanding for end users."
"The MPAC was formed to foster integration among industry-leading technology companies and provide a forum to build on their successes, delivering valuable Windows Powered solutions to mobile users," said Mary Rose Becker, group marketing manager for Mobility at Microsoft. "Infowave's involvement in the MPAC demonstrates its continued commitment to providing a premiere wireless experience to business users of Microsoft's Windows Powered mobile devices."
