New 45,000 Square Foot New Jersey Location More than Doubles

Capacity to Meet Growing Customer Demand for Low-Risk,

Cost-Effective and Flexible Alternative Sites

SchlumbergerSema, a business segment of Schlumberger Limited (NYSE:SLB), today announced that it has opened a 45,000 square foot business continuity and disaster recovery facility in Metro Park in Iselin, New Jersey. Together with its initial Jersey City, New Jersey, facility, SchlumbergerSema Global Recovery Services (SGRS) now offers a total capacity of 80,000 square feet of space in the US to meet its customers' growing demand for alternative locations to conduct business and recover computer systems during disasters.

"Companies in the US are becoming increasingly aware of the critical necessity to plan ahead to strategically address all types of natural and man-made business disruptions," stated Joseph Riscica, general manager of SGRS operations in the US. "We are seeing growing demand for low-risk, flexible alternative sites where our customers can quickly resume their day-to-day business processes and computer operations with minimal impact on their bottom line."

The growth of information technology as a critical business asset has put especially strong pressure on companies to have alternative sites that can provide employees with access to the computer systems and network resources that are necessary for keeping their businesses up and running. With more than 20 years experience, 45 locations with nearly 1.5 million square feet of space in 13 countries, and over 900 customers worldwide, SchlumbergerSema has the depth of experience to provide customers with cost-effective solutions that are tailored to their specific needs.

The company offers a full range of options from a basic hot desk (cabled desk, chair, PC and direct dial telephone) to fully customized IT computer equipment, as well as Web hosting capabilities. SGRS business continuity services are available on a dedicated or limited ratio shared-subscription basis. All equipment is regularly tested, site access is available around the clock, and each site is supported by fully trained and experienced recovery technicians.

The new Metro Park facility, which is easily accessible via private and public transportation from both the New York City and Philadelphia metropolitan areas, is housed in a Class A facility that is less than two years old. The site is manned 24x7 by onsite security guards, and features turnstile entry, card key access, and private client caged areas with individual entry. Redundant street power, diesel power backup, UPS systems, 100% raised floor environment and multiple telecommunications provider access - including SGRS-provided SONET ring into New York City -- ensures high quality, uninterrupted operation. Designed to provide a comfortable, temporary work environment, the facility features an on-site parking garage, cafeteria and convenience store, and a hotel is located within walking distance.

In the US, SGRS has particularly strong capabilities in the financial sector, providing back office, trading floor operations, market data feeds, dealer boards, voice recording, electronic time stamp systems, call center capabilities, and other infrastructure and operational support to more than 14 investment houses and banking firms.
