"As America's Most Convenient Bank(R), we are committed to providing our customers with the same convenient financial services online that we offer through our network of nearly 200 branches," said Allegra Sandelli, Vice President of Marketing. "We've had a long-term relationship with Digital Fusion, and this site is a logical extension of the work they did earlier and continue to do."

Digital Fusion was selected by Commerce as their online development partner only after careful evaluation. For nearly six months the Digital Fusion development team immersed themselves in Commerce culture, business, services, and processes. The result was that Commerce business requirements drove the site's design and determined the final features and functionality. Digital Fusion also developed a full set of administrative tools that allow Commerce to manage and maintain many areas of the site.

Since launch, the site has continued to grow and evolve. For instance, the number of commerceonline.com visitors has increased nearly 400% in the past two years alone. "This project is an excellent example of how value-added services can be integrated with existing functionality to enhance the overall customer experience. We look forward to working with Commerce on future endeavors," says Christine Kemp, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Digital Fusion.

The technology used for the Commerce site includes Cold Fusion, Java, JavaScript, Perl, SQL, and other proprietary or packaged components. Commerce has also worked with Digital Fusion on several other projects including multimedia/CD-ROM development. Over the last five years, the sites developed by Digital Fusion for Commerce have won multiple awards, including being selected as one of the top banking sites three times by Forbes and three first places from Microbanker for Internet banking.
