WinsLoew Furniture, Inc. Announces Name Change to Brown Jordan International, Inc

POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 2002

WinsLoew Furniture, Inc., the premier designer, manufacturer and marketer of fine casual outdoor and contract furniture, announced today its new corporate name will be Brown Jordan International, Inc. ("Brown Jordan International" or the "Company").

Bruce R. Albertson, President and CEO stated, "Brown Jordan is one of the most recognized names in the industry and our company will continue to build that image and same fine reputation which Brown Jordan has earned as the preeminent brand in luxury leisure furniture. Brown Jordan International's corporate mission is to become the dominant market leader in the retail, mass and contract channels. Our talented management team will expand in Florida with an advanced market focus driven by operational excellence."

Brown Jordan International will close its mass market headquarters in Ripon, Wisconsin and relocate key personnel to Pompano Beach, Florida, including Peter Schultz, President, Mass Market Division and Brian Sanderson, Vice President of Sales. Brown Jordan International will also close its Long Beach, California division, DesignResource, and relocate the company's creative branch to Pompano Beach, Florida.

The Company also announced today that Bill Kennedy has joined the Company as Vice President of Global Procurement and Logistics, reporting to Bruce R. Albertson. Kennedy will be based at the Pompano Beach headquarters and brings over 33 years of supply chain, sourcing and logistics experience, most recently serving as Vice President of Global Supply Chain Management with Iomega Corporation. His prior experience includes twenty years with General Electric Corporation and five years with Philips Consumer Electronics in various management capacities. Kennedy earned his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Richard Frinier announced that after a 20 year career with Brown Jordan he will retire from his position as Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer to pursue other interests. Frinier stated, "I have enjoyed a wonderful and rewarding career within the casual furniture industry. I am proud of the products, technology and reputation the Company has created over the years." Mr. Alberston commented, "Our companies have benefited from Richard's creative talents for many years. DesignResource's many talented design team members will continue to build the collections of Brown Jordan International and produce the finest, leading-edge products in the industry." Brown Jordan International will be naming a Vice President of Design at a future date. Scott Coogan, formerly Vice President of Marketing for Pompeii has been named Vice President of Creative Services and will be relocating to the Pompano Beach office.
