Sitraka PerformaSure gives WebSphere development teams system-wide
diagnostics of transactional J2EE applications in pre-production
IBM developerWorks Live! Booth #684 - Sitraka, a proven leader in J2EE Performance Assurance, announced today that Sitraka PerformaSure(TM) will be available on IBM WebSphere(a) Application Server 4.0. E-business performance teams working on WebSphere will have access to both Sitraka PerformaSure, a powerful, transaction-centric diagnosis tool for multi-tiered J2EE applications, and Sitraka JProbe, the premier performance tuning toolkit. Used together, these tools help companies using IBM WebSphere to detect, diagnose and repair business-threatening performance hazards before costly problems occur in production.
"IBM's WebSphere software is specifically designed to enable partner tools and solutions to provide core capabilities within the WebSphere development lifecycle," said Scott Hebner, Director of Marketing for IBM WebSphere. "As performance assurance is a critical element of the e-business development lifecycle, we are pleased to work with Sitraka on the enablement of Sitraka PerformaSure for WebSphere."
PerformaSure provides key insight into the J2EE performance data stack for rapid problem identification and resolution. Featuring a rich user interface, PerformaSure provides highly intuitive graphical views into application server configuration and run-time information, JVM performance, database performance, network utilization, and operating system and hardware platform metrics. PerformaSure's unique Tag and Follow technology reconstructs the execution path of end-user transactions, highlighting performance hotspots to accelerate root cause diagnosis of unacceptable e-business response times. Armed with targeted diagnostic intelligence about the offending component behind performance degradation, development and QA teams can then focus enhancements on just those components that genuinely impact the customer experience.
When the application code is at fault, Sitraka JProbe provides the next level of detail, pinpointing hotspots right down to the line of code. The result is seamless J2EE performance analysis on WebSphere Application Server that dramatically accelerates time-to-repair, while reducing the need for expensive infrastructure investments.
"WebSphere teams responsible for e-business performance understand that stalled projects, guesswork and finger pointing can often threaten deployment dates, affect end-user response times and jeopardize revenue. Now companies using WebSphere will have access to the diagnostic intelligence they need to proactively and cost-effectively manage performance at every stage of the J2EE application life cycle," said Ed Lycklama, CTO, Sitraka. "PerformaSure defines a new category in performance analysis by providing system-wide visibility into multiple layers of the J2EE system. Sitraka PerformaSure for WebSphere extends our J2EE Performance Assurance offering to IBM customers worldwide."
