PETERBOROUGH, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 2002

Sensors Expo & Conference proudly reports that Paul Saffo, Director of the Institute for the Future, keynote speaker at its San Jose show, May 20-23, 2002, has drawn over 2500 attendees with two weeks remaining before opening day. The keynote entitled "Sensors Are Only Half the Revolution" will be delivered Tuesday, May 21 at 2:45 p.m. at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. When asked about the provocative title, Mr. Saffo said "I plan to compare the evolution of the sensors industry with other high tech industries; project business and technology trends that we'll likely see; and discuss factors that will make or break the sensors industry and the careers of its leaders."

Paul Saffo is a technology forecaster studying long-term trends and their impact on business and society. His essays have appeared in many publications, including The Harvard Business Review, Wired magazine, Civilization magazine, and The Los Angeles Times. The Institute for the Future (www.iftf.org) is a 34-year old foundation that provides strategic planning and forecasting services to major corporations and government agencies.
