MERIDEN, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2002
AIT Group has formed a global strategic alliance with Unisys Corporation - a deal that reinforces AIT's aim to build an international network of partnerships.
The agreement supports AIT's strategy to expand its indirect channel, using third parties to assist in consulting services, sales, support and implementation of its customer relationship management (CRM) software. This partnership will allow AIT to dedicate more resources to core product development.
Under the terms of this latest agreement, Unisys will market, resell and implement AIT's CRM software products focusing on the financial services industry. AIT chose Unisys because of its comprehensive suite of consulting offerings that address client needs throughout the CRM lifecycle. In addition, Unisys has in-depth domain knowledge in the financial services industry, coupled with strong implementation capabilities.
Unisys is dedicated to delivering Customer Contact Solutions and assisting clients in determining which products best meet their needs. This relationship extends the value of the AIT application by providing real-time, secure, reliable transactions from all front-end delivery channels to all back-end, core processing systems - delivering a consistent view of the customer. Unisys staff are being trained on AIT products and the company is already working with AIT at the Nationwide Building Society, the UK's 4th largest mortgage lender and the largest building society in the world.
"Our strategy is to advise clients based on our deep financial and CRM domain expertise, jointly develop their vision and deliver business solutions that result in a competitive edge and greatest return on investment. We integrate partner products that offer the best fit to meet the client's requirements. We chose to work with AIT because of its reputation as a leading CRM vendor in the UK financial services market - one of the most competitive in the world - and believe our respective technical and cultural strengths complement each other well," said Richard Sills, vice president, Customer Contact Solutions at Unisys.
"As a globally recognized player with world-renowned expertise in business consultancy and CRM implementation, Unisys is the ideal partner to help expand AIT's market presence. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement, allowing each side to concentrate on its core strengths. Unisys will help identify and build new markets for AIT while also assisting us in our goal of moving from a service to product-focused organization," said Carl Rigby, CEO of AIT.
"Furthermore, we are confident that the Unisys methodology closely matches that of AIT and we feel this will allow us to work together to achieve the best results," added Rigby.
