ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 2002
Narragansett Technologies, a leading software technology provider of .NET Web Services-based Campaign management Solutions, announced today a strategic alliance whereby Epicor(R) Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC) will extend its customer relationship management (CRM) solutions with robust e-mail marketing and campaign management technology from Narragansett.
The announcement coincides with the start of Perspectives 2002, Epicor's annual user conference held this year in Anaheim, Calif.
Epicor, a leading provider of integrated enterprise, eBusiness and collaborative commerce software solutions for midmarket companies, will private label Narragansett's SpinnakerPro eMail Campaign and Loyalty Management suite as a Clientele-branded and supported application suite. Epicor will market and sell the solutions to both new and existing customers through the private label OEM agreement with Narragansett.
"SpinnakerPro nicely compliments Epicor's Clientele CRM solutions," said Doug Berry, vice president and general manager of Epicor's Clientele Group. "Like our Clientele solutions, Narragansett's SpinnakerPro employs the benefits of Web services and matches Epicor's standards for delivering high-levels of functionality. The collaboration should provide our customers with enhanced campaign tracking capabilities and stronger customer relationships."
Both Narragansett and Epicor have demonstrated a strong Microsoft technology commitment, focusing on developing solutions based on the Microsoft .NET Platform. Narragansett's SpinnakerPro eMail Campaign and Loyalty Management suite is built from the ground-up with Microsoft .NET technology, and Epicor delivered earlier this year the first CRM application completely architected on Microsoft .NET, Clientele Customer Support 8.0.
"This is just the beginning of what we believe will be a very important and strategic business relationship for our two companies," said Christopher J Byrne, CEO and cofounder of Narragansett. "It didn't take long for our development teams to realize that we have a mutual commitment to building quality driven software for business that delivers measurable results." Byrne continued, "With our headquarters in Limerick, Ireland, the gateway to Europe, we are confident that Epicor will be able to leverage our alliance to expand its market penetration and new business opportunities in Europe."
Narragansett and Epicor are working together to rapidly roll out a deployable application offering to all Epicor partners and customers, and will proceed with joint sales and marketing initiatives globally.
