NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2002

America Online, the world's leading interactive service, and Mariah Carey's new label MonarC Music/Island Records today announced that "Yours" and "My Saving Grace," two tracks from her upcoming album, Charmbracelet, will premiere exclusively on AOL Music's First Listen on Monday, November 18 and Monday, November 25 respectively. The album, which is lyrically very personal and showcases Mariah's voice, prolific songwriting and versatility, is scheduled for release on December 3, 2002.

The song "Yours" will debut as an AOL Music First Listen on Monday, November 18th at 12:01 EST, and be available exclusively to AOL members for 24 hours. Starting Tuesday, November 19, "Yours" will also be available to fans on the Web at Netscape Music (music.netscape.com), AOL Instant Messenger's AIM Today and CompuServe. Similarly, "My Saving Grace" will premiere on AOL on Monday, November 25.

"AOL Music's First Listen program offers fans the chance to hear the most eagerly anticipated music before it's available anywhere else. Debuting two new songs from Mariah Carey, the #1 selling female artist of all time, certainly enforces this trend in a major way," said Evan Harrison, Executive Director, Music Industry Relations, AOL Music.

Mariah Carey is the top-selling female artist in history with a record fifteen #1 singles, two Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, Billboard's "Artist of the Decade" Award and the World Music Award for "World's Best Selling Female Artist of the Millennium." She is the only artist to have topped the charts in each year of the 1990s, and, with "Heartbreaker," she pushed ahead of the legendary Beatles as the artist with the most weeks in a row at the top of Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart. Mariah Carey not only possesses a five-octave range voice, but composes all of her own material. In addition to holding an exclusive recording contract with the Universal Music Group's Island Records, Mariah Carey has also formed her own label, MonarC Music. Charmbracelet will be the debut release for MonarC Music on December 3, 2002.

This announcement comes on the heels of AOL Music premiering JC Chasez's first song as a solo artist on November 15 and two new Dru Hill songs on November 16. Launched in December 2001, AOL Music's First Listen program has emerged as a premier outlet for music's hottest stars to exclusively debut their new songs. From Bruce Springsteen to Nelly, First Listen lets music fans hear new songs from their favorite artists before they are available anywhere else. First Listen offers artists an opportunity to reach an unmatched global audience through AOL Keyword: First Listen, as well as AOL Music's network of music sites on Netscape (www.music.netscape.com), AOL Instant Messenger's AIM Today and CompuServe, as well as AOL's international affiliates in countries around the world.
