CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 2002
ATG (Art Technology Group, Inc., Nasdaq: ARTG), a leading developer of online CRM applications for commerce, portals, and relationship management, today announced that two of its customers, Hooked on Phonics and Harvard Business School Publishing (HBSP), have been named to the annual InfoWorld 100. Selected by the editors of InfoWorld, companies featured on the InfoWorld 100 list are recognized as "companies that have made the best use of technology to enhance their business."
Recognized for Web Site Personalization, Hooked on Phonics was looking for a way to match its online brand recognition to that of its television and radio broadcast efforts. It also needed to leverage its existing technology investments and alleviate the "static" Web presence of Hookedonphonics.com. With a Web site powered by ATG Commerce, Hooked on Phonics can now create customer segments and target promotions to each segment, cross-sell products based on customer purchases and direct leads captured from the site into a telephony system. The result of the reinvigorated ATG powered Hookedonphonics.com has been a 38 percent increase in online revenue and a 229 percent increase in online memberships.
Acknowledged in the Digital Publishing category, Harvard Business School Publishing utilized ATG to power Harvard Business Online, a multi-phased digital publishing system incorporating external e-commerce capabilities that through the use of Scenario Personalization(TM) allows HBSP to cross-sell and up-sell products, provide different page views and gear marketing efforts to specific users based on their preferences and prior spending habits. Built by ATG partner Dimension Data, the new HBSP site was developed in five months.
