LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 21, 2002

Chordiant Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHRD), a leader in providing innovative customer management solutions for global business-to-consumer enterprises, has today announced a joint marketing agreement for systems integration with Customer Relationship Management and critical business specialist Kainos, focused primarily on the UK and Ireland markets.

The agreement will focus on Global 1000 companies across a number of markets that are in need of process-based customer management solutions and provide additional Chordiant-trained resources to customers globally.

"Chordiant is winning a lot of success with big consumer names because of its approach to customer management, which extends the competitive advantage already embedded in a company's existing process, rather than imposing inflexible out-of-the-box processes," said Allen Swann, president of International Operations, Chordiant Software. "Many systems integrators are realising the attraction of a tailored approach to customer management solutions for major consumer organisations and in Kainos we were lucky enough to find a partner who already had people trained in this approach. By drawing on Kainos' skills, Chordiant is reinforcing its position in the UK as a leading customer management solutions provider, enabling large organisations to develop and deploy enterprise-wide applications more quickly and at a lower cost of ownership."

Desmond Shield, a director at Kainos, commented, "Kainos has proven expertise in designing and delivering large complex contact centres. The combination of Kainos' innovative delivery method, integration expertise and Chordiant's winning software platform has meant we have quickly developed a successful partnership. We are delighted with this agreement and look forward to a continued successful working relationship with Chordiant."
