MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 21, 2002
Sagent (Nasdaq:SGNT), a leading provider of enterprise business intelligence solutions, today announced that on Tuesday, December 3, 2002 it will offer a free-to-the-public educational webinar by Doug Laney, Vice President of Application Delivery Strategies for the META Group.
This webinar will offer insight into how Enterprise Information Integration (EII) technologies have emerged to fulfill the need of true real-time access to heterogeneous production data sources. "Enterprise Information Integration offers a compelling alternative to traditional batch-oriented data warehousing architectures," said Dave Henry, Sagent's VP of Marketing. "We're pleased to have Doug share the latest details of his research in this area."
What: In this webinar, Doug Laney explores the major tenets of EII, how it compares and contrasts with other data integration patterns, and how EII can help enterprises better leverage their information assets.
When: December 3, 2002 at 10:00 (PST)
Who should attend: CIOs, IT managers, line-of-business managers and analysts who are responsible for the information access and delivery strategies within their organization.
Why: Although ETL and EAI remain the predominant mechanisms for data integration and interchange, enterprises are discovering that certain breeds of business applications and situations may be inappropriate for these traditional techniques. True real-time access to heterogeneous production data sources has been a fantasy of IT organizations and business professionals, and now Enterprise Information Integration (EII) technologies have emerged to fulfill that need.
