Concurrent MediaHawk Solution Powers Time Warner Cable Launch in Columbus; Columbus, Ohio Division Offers VOD to over 320K Subscribers

Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:CCUR), the pioneer and market leader in North American Video-On-Demand (VOD) commercial deployments, today announced the successful launch of VOD services in Time Warner Cable's Columbus, Ohio Division.

Time Warner Cable - Columbus serves more than 326,000 basic subscribers and 108,000 digital subscribers. For the launch, Concurrent has 13 MediaHawk(R) 3000 VOD Systems installed, with a total streaming capacity of over 7,000 streams and an initial storage capacity of over 800 titles.

Randy Hall, vice president of engineering for the Columbus system, said, "Concurrent has proven the viability of its interactive television platform, its technology expertise and its great attention to customer service. Concurrent's VOD technology enables subscribers to use a digital set-top box to instantly call up digital movies and other programming from a list that includes major movie titles and control their selected movie with VCR-like functionality including fast forward, pause and rewind.
