ON Semiconductor Piestany Fab Earns Slovak National Quality Award; Company Continues to Drive Excellence in Manufacturing and Customer Service

As part of the company's commitment to quality and customer service, ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq:ONNN) today announced that it has earned the 2002 Slovak National Quality Award.

The Slovak government presents this award to companies that have demonstrated superior quality and operational results with a special emphasis on leadership and the overall business process.

Walt Guy, ON Semiconductor general manager of the Piestany facility, today accepted the award from Rudolf Schuster, president of the Slovak Republic at a ceremony held at the Bratislava Castle.
