University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics Selects Canopy's Care Management Solution

Canopy Systems, Inc.(TM), a leader in providing Web-based solutions for care management, announced today that University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin has signed an agreement to implement Canopy's Web-based care management solution.
Under this agreement, the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics will automate and streamline its case and utilization management program using Canopy UM(TM) and Canopy CM(TM).
University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics chose Canopy based on the ability of its application service provider (ASP) model to provide integrated utilization and case management applications across the continuum of care. At University of Wisconsin, the Canopy solution will also be integrated with ExtendedCare Professional(TM) from ExtendedCare Information Network to provide online discharge planning and searches for appropriate post-acute placements. Canopy Systems and ExtendedCare Information Network have recently formed a partnership to provide the premier integrated care management solution.
