SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 5, 2002
New on demand capabilities and expanded services enable large
organizations to leverage and re-purpose existing training and
presentation assets
OneTouch(R) Systems, whose distance collaboration and e-Learning products and services increase the capacity of organizations to train and communicate, today announced a major capabilities enhancement for their industry-leading OneTouch 5 product suite. This enhancement, known as OneTouch On Demand, enables businesses to multiply the ROI of their live training and presentation broadcast investments. On Demand makes it easy for business users to modify and reuse e-Learning content -- and to deploy that new content any time, anywhere -- to meet virtually any training or presentation need, overcoming barriers of time, distance, bandwidth, and budget.
In addition, OneTouch is announcing further developments in the OneTouch Quality 5 program, a redesigned customer services offering that reflects the growing importance of corporate learning and communication. The program offers customers a far greater array of options in choosing a level of service, and all levels now include an e-Services option, enabling users to access data and reports directly via OneTouch's advanced Customer Care system.
"OneTouch integrates satellite, live and asynchronous virtual learning environments into a single system. Our research suggests this approach is uniquely powerful, and the breadth of the OneTouch customer base reinforces that conclusion," said Lewis Ward, senior analyst for Collaborative Strategies. "These new capabilities, paired with OneTouch's tightly integrated, customer-focused set of professional services, will be of immediate benefit to companies with mission-critical needs to train or certify large numbers of employees, customers or partners."
"OneTouch is already helping customers save hundreds of millions of dollars in training, best practice sharing and certification costs," said Jim Moriarty, senior vice president of marketing for OneTouch. "The addition of this powerful new functionality will allow customers to increase the ROI from their corporate learning investment to more fully meet the needs of their organization, both internally and externally."
"The OneTouch Quality 5 program gives our customers the absolute fastest quality time in realizing an ROI," said Steve Schloss, senior vice president of operations for OneTouch. "This program has been developed -- from the ground up -- based on our customers' real-world requirements and challenges. By wrapping the OneTouch suite in these advanced services, we are offering them a true end-to-end solution for their corporate communications and collaboration needs."

About OneTouch 5
OneTouch 5 is an integral part of an organization's strategy for developing and managing individual performance. Adding the power of On Demand to the suite gives users far greater agility in responding to the communication and learning opportunities and challenges within their own organizations -- whether involving crisis management, best practice sharing, certification training or corporate alignment. This increased flexibility will also create opportunities for new and innovative uses of existing assets -- previously created presentations or training now sitting useless on a storage server or in a static video archive.
