DETAILS: IEEE Spectrum is producing "Crystal Ball: Technology
    Infusions," a five-panel track part of the business technology
    conference at COMDEX Fall 2002. Each panel focuses on one of five
    emerging technologies that are likely to have a significant impact
    on the IT industry within the next three to five years. In
    addition to autonomic computing, technologies to be explored are
    organic electronics, gallium nitride, speech recognition
    technology and the semantic Web.
