LA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 7, 2002

The La Mesa-Spring Valley School District Board approved three acoustically advanced band rooms constructed by TurnKey Schools of America.

The state-of-the-art practice rooms have acoustic treatment to walls and a specialized ceiling design by acoustic professionals for optimum sonic resonance. TurnKey worked with an acoustical engineer and district band leaders to create a brilliant acoustical environment.

The band rooms include advanced soundproof practice rooms developed by Wenger Corp. of Owatonna, Minn. TurnKey has provided the school district a fixed price of $600,000 for each of the 5,000 square foot concrete buildings.

The district's first band rooms will be installed in La Mesa Middle School, Spring Valley Middle School and Parkway Middle School. Funding for the rooms came from a local bond.

TurnKey will start work on the music practice rooms in mid-November and complete them in the second quarter of next year.

TurnKey was awarded the work because the firm provides high quality facilities, reduces school district risk, compresses delivery time, provides guaranteed pricing and assumes full accountability.
