Defense Industries International, Inc. (OTCBB:DFNS), a leading manufacturer and global provider of personal military and civilian protective equipment and supplies, today announced that Mr. Moti Hassan has been appointed to the Company's Board of Directors as its first independent board member.
Mr. Hassan, 51, graduated in 1976 from Ben Gurion University in Israel with a degree in electronic engineering. Following his studies, Mr. Hassan joined the Israeli Army as a system engineer in the field of optics, communications, defense systems and computers. In 2000, Mr. Hassan retired from the Israeli Army with the rank of Major. Following his retirement from the Israeli Army, Mr. Hassan joined Oran Electronic Industries, Ltd. ("Oran"), where he applies his electronics expertise as head of Research and Development for Oran.
