Complementing its leading line of enterprise VPN/security appliances integrating Check Point Software Technologies (Nasdaq:CHKP) market leading VPN-1/FireWall-1 NG software, Intrusion Inc. (Nasdaq:INTZ), a leading provider of intrusion detection and appliance solutions for the information-driven economy, today announced the Intrusion PDS 7330 high performance multi-policy security appliance.
Intrusion PDS 7330 integrates Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX to deliver superior security, industry-leading scalability and award-winning management to data centers and ISPs. The Intrusion PDS 7330 is a dual processor, dual bus system with six PCI slots for up to 20 Ethernet ports. The PDS 7330 also includes redundant power supplies and a SCSI drive array capable of holding nearly a half-terabyte of drive space. PDS 7330 delivers 3 Gbps FireWall-1 throughput and 700 Mbps VPN-1 throughput. Additionally, the PDS 7330 has been rigorously tested to be certified as "Secured by Check Point," ensuring optimal operation, ease of use, and interoperability with Check Point's SVN architecture and OPSEC security framework.

The PDS 7330 is available now starting at under $16,500. The PDS 7330 is part of the Intrusion PDS Family of security appliances which include the PDS 5315, PDS 5515, PDS 7215 and PDS 7315 rack mount enterprise solutions, the PDS 500 Series small office and home office solutions, the PDS 1105 and PDS 2105 remote and branch office solutions, and the PDS 2315 and 2415 desktop enterprise solutions. Check Point software licenses are available at an additional cost.
