SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2002
State Software, the leading provider of enterprise software enabling real-time, Web-based applications, announced today that Amazon.com Holdings, Inc. has signed a license agreement to utilize State's technology.
"We are excited to have Amazon join the ranks of our early customers," said Bobby Napiltonia, Founder and CEO of State. "This license agreement substantiates State's ability to easily integrate and leverage existing enterprise investments on the Web." State's software product offers a modular design which can be used to develop new applications or applied to existing deployments providing enhanced user experience. Napiltonia added, "This further validates market opportunity ahead of us."
State's new technology enables Web applications to be live -- only updates and new information change instantly rather than requiring entire page refreshes. The business value relates to improving user productivity issues, the largest hidden expense of Web applications. Forrester Research estimates that Fortune 1000 companies will each invest between $1.5 and $2.1 million on such user-related redesigns next year.
