Clear Technologies Names IBM Veteran to Lead C2 Software Sales; Enterprise technology expert Van Symons aims to grow market share for mid-market CRM

Clear Technologies, Inc., has named industry expert Van Symons to lead sales efforts for its mid-market Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software package -- C2.
As Vice President of C2 Sales, Van Symons will apply experience and expertise gained during his 25-year career at IBM selling enterprise technologies to rapidly expand Clear's share of the $40-billion CRM software market for small- to mid-size businesses. After joining IBM in 1977 as a systems engineer, Van Symons' performance earned him greater leadership in a series of senior marketing roles, including responsibility for global eServer product line strategy for IBM. Mr. Symons received numerous awards during his tenure with IBM, including the President's Award.

Clear's C2 software package is designed for rapid implementation and minimal training to accelerate user adoption across an organization. A web-based 30-module CRM solution that is customized to client requirements, C2 currently is used by prominent mid-sized organizations such as Maxim Crane and Aiphone, as well as several IBM divisions.
C2 runs on the IBM eServer iSeries, pSeries and xSeries hardware platforms and related operating systems, which were among Van Symons' specialties when he developed business intelligence and CRM strategies for IBM's Server Group. His also contributed strategic leadership to IBM's Project eLiza, a computing initiative to integrate self-managing, self-healing capabilities into the company's servers.
Van Symons, 47, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
