Texas Hedge Fund Association to Host Open Presentation: From Hedge Fund Skeptic to Investor

Continuing its drive to educate investors about hedge fund investing, the Texas Hedge Fund Association (THFA) (www.texashfa.org) today announced that it is hosting a presentation by Edgar J. Sullivan, vice president of Investment Research, General Motors Asset Management, entitled: From Hedge Fund Skeptic to Investor, at the Crescent Court in Dallas on October 23 at 5:30 p.m.
General Motors Asset Management is one of the largest institutional investors in the world and hedge funds are an important component of its investment strategy. The presentation by Mr. Sullivan on GM's transition from hedge fund skeptic to investor will be informative to active investors as well as potential hedge fund investors alike.
The THFA occasion is generously being sponsored by members John Carlisle of ABN AMRO Securities and Cindy D'Augusta and Lindsay Brown of Bear Stearns & Co. Also contributing is board member Erik Forssman of Ernst & Young LLP.
The event is open to all interested parties and will be the last open event sponsored by the THFA. In the future, the majority of THFA events will be open only to the association's membership.
