ObjectAssembler 2.0 provides Sun(TM) ONE Studio IDE developers with a smarter development platform that promotes object reuse and automated
design at an affordable price
ObjectVenture Inc., developer of PCML (Pattern and Component Markup Language) and a premier provider of leading edge Java(TM) 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE(TM)) development platform products, today announced the general availability of ObjectAssembler 2.0, which extends the Sun(TM) ONE Studio integrated development environment (IDE) with a simplified and accelerated approach to the design, development, assembly, and deployment of J2EE applications.
ObjectVenture is a member of Sun Microsystems' Sun ONE Studio Extension Partner Program, a thriving community of vendors building complementary products and modules that work in conjunction with the Sun ONE Studio IDE, formerly the Forte(TM) for Java(TM) IDE.
"ObjectAssembler 2.0 can now plug into the Sun ONE Studio IDE providing an alternative means to accelerate the development of J2EE and Web-based applications," said Dana Kaufman, CEO of ObjectVenture. "Of the many features provided to a developer from ObjectAssembler, we are most pleased with the way it automates the design process and simplifies the use of software design patterns, such as those found in Sun's Pattern Catalog."
A comprehensive J2EE software development environment, ObjectAssembler simplifies the development of sophisticated enterprise applications and Web services through visual representations of patterns, components, and assemblies. Automating many of the tedious, complicated, and error-prone implementation tasks inherent in enterprise development, ObjectAssembler transforms the traditional IDE into an efficient, streamlined development system. This enables developers using ObjectAssembler to focus their attention on creating business logic to solve their unique business challenges, rather than being preoccupied by the details and minutia of the underlying infrastructure. ObjectAssembler offers complete support for the J2EE component-based architecture and comes integrated with both Sun's Java Center Pattern Catalog and Apache's Jakarta Struts Framework.
"Visual solutions that support pattern and framework based development improve an organization's ability to support business requirements in a timely fashion," noted Arthur Gould, Senior Manager, Strategic Relations, Sun Microsystems. "ObjectAssembler's automated development capabilities offer the Sun ONE Studio developer community a simplified approach to develop and deploy enterprise and Web applications."

ObjectAssembler is provided in 3 Editions as follows:
