Rain Bird Corporation:
-- New Back Flush Filter Self-Cleaning Action Keeps Your Drip System Clog-Free -- Ideal for Municipal Water Applications, The Back Flush Filter Utilizes Self-Cleaning Technology To Ensure The Intelligent Use Of Water(TM) With Every Cycle
Rain Bird(R) Corporation, the leading manufacturer of irrigation equipment and water management products has unveiled the patent pending, all-in-one Back Flush Filter Control Zone Kit. The kit comes complete with all the components necessary for easy installation. The new filter design uses proprietary scrubbing technology to eliminate debris, reducing the need for regular cleaning of the filter element, lowering the amount of time associated with maintenance of a drip system.
The new self-flushing filter has a pressure-activated piston and scrubber that cleans the filter element when the drip system is turned on. The scrubber repeats the cleaning action at system shut off, creating a reverse flow to flush out debris with each watering cycle. The components of the kit work together to maximize the effectiveness of the self-cleaning filter, providing extra protection for low-volume emitters.
"In the past, the advantages of a drip system have been weighed against the higher maintenance requirements. Because of their small outlet size, emitters can be prone to clogging," says Raul Scheller, Marketing Manager for Rain Bird's Landscape Drip Division. "The Back Flush Filter Control Zone Kit protects the drip system, ensuring a smooth, unobstructed flow of water and reducing maintenance time, while prolonging the life of the drip system itself."
