Exelixis Announces Third Quarter 2002 Financial Results Conference Call and Webcast

Exelixis, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXEL) today announced that its financial results for the third quarter 2002 will be issued in a press release after the close of the U.S. financial markets on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at 4:00 pm ET. Exelixis will host a conference call one hour after the release at 5:00 pm ET to discuss these results. The call will be led by George A. Scangos, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer and Glen Y. Sato, chief financial officer and vice president of legal affairs.
The call will be webcast on the investor relations section of Exelixis' website at www.exelixis.com/ir and at www.ccbn.com and will be archived until November 21, 2002.
