PORTSMOUTH, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 2002
Stone Pond Software, an innovator in data and systems integration technologies, today announced the general availability of fleXML R2.0 beta, an integration tool that provides companies using Lotus Notes Messaging and Collaboration software the ability to rapidly integrate with XML data. fleXML supports the growing use of the Extensible Markup Language ("XML") as the standard for data exchange and bridges the gap between XML and Lotus Notes.
fleXML R2.0 beta, Stone Pond's Java version of their Release 1 product, has received great praise from early beta tester, the College Division of Boston-based publishing company Houghton Mifflin ('HMCo'). Mildene Bradley, Vice President, Director of Information Services within HMCo's College Division, said "It was vital for our organization to select a data integration tool that was flexible and could be seamlessly incorporated into our current environment. fleXML made it possible for the Division to pilot the use of a new voice automation system and transfer the XML-formatted voice data to our sales force automation system." The new voice system provides the College Division's sales team the ability to enter orders and contact updates via phone and with the help of fleXML have that data converted into Lotus Notes documents.
"We realized with XML emerging as one of the most important ways for businesses to communicate with one another, the difficulty would lie in integrating XML data into their existing applications." said Scott Lemieux, President of Stone Pond Software. "Our software makes it easy for companies to incorporate their incoming or in-house XML data with their existing business systems, eliminating the need for costly custom programming."
"fleXML is a good 'corporate citizen'.... We were able to place it into the mix of our existing technologies with minimal effort. A key benefit for us is fleXML's ability to secure data using SSL encryption and authentication with the voice system. We are looking forward to the final release of fleXML R2.0, which we expect to implement by the end of this year," said Ms. Bradley.
fleXML provides the functionality to rapidly and efficiently request, process and translate XML data to Lotus Notes, liberating companies from total dependence on custom programming. This is done with an intuitive forms-based interface. As a result, the amount of time required to process mission critical data into the format that companies require is sharply reduced.
Stone Pond Software is now accepting beta nominations for its fleXML Release 2.0 beta testing program. To participate in the beta program please contact Stone Pond via their website at http://www.stonepondsoftware.com/
