SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 2002
Agreement Integrates MediaBin Asset Manager and Interwoven 5 for a
Seamless Rich Media Publishing Solution
Interwoven Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), a world leader in Enterprise Content Management (ECM), and MediaBin Inc., a pioneer in Digital Asset Management (DAM) for global marketing, today announced they have signed an agreement integrating MediaBin Asset Manager(TM) with the Interwoven 5 platform via a MediaBin connector.
The connector, developed in collaboration with Interflow Systems Consulting, provides customers with a seamless integration between Interwoven TeamSite(TM) software and MediaBin Asset Manager, giving corporations a comprehensive solution for enhanced collaboration on rich media assets across the enterprise.
"Today's enterprise needs to leverage its growing library of rich media assets in a variety of eBusiness initiatives, from corporate branding to product catalogs to corporate training," said Kevin Cochrane, vice president of product management at Interwoven. "The Interwoven solution for Media Asset Management, in conjunction with MediaBin, provides a simple, but effective way to find, access, transform, and repurpose rich media assets for documents, portal content, and Web pages developed and managed in Interwoven 5."
Using the solution, business users can now search from within the Interwoven software environment to discover, preview visually, transform, and utilize rich media assets stored in MediaBin. Enterprises gain the benefit of having a secure, centralized, and media-specific library of images, graphics, and video assets and of having a highly usable system to collaboratively develop, manage and publish media-rich content. As a result, corporations can deploy content faster and easier for marketing, channel, eCommerce and corporate training programs, all with greater brand security.
Harrah's Entertainment has purchased the solution to manage all of its marketing and Internet assets, increasing the effectiveness of its online properties, the security of its brand, and the efficiency of the process. "It's a seamless process to integrate the images with the content from the Web site," said Anika Howard, director of Internet marketing of Harrah's Entertainment. "It's not a two-step process; they work together easily. When we bought Interwoven and MediaBin, we saw it as something we could use more broadly for other applications in the company."
"Effective brand management today means getting tight control over all brand touch points: print, point-of-sale, channel, and the Web," said David Moran, president and CEO of MediaBin Inc. "The Interwoven-MediaBin offering can help corporations accelerate product launches, safeguard their brands, and reduce costs using a tightly integrated solution that is both very powerful and very easy to implement and use."
