Huntsville, Ala. Books-A-Million Stores to Host Introduction to Coin Collecting Program

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 31, 2002

Books-A-Million (NASDAQ/NM:BAMM) announced today that three of its Huntsville stores will be hosting Introduction to Coin Collecting Programs with the Madison County Coin Club, a member of the American Numismatic Association.

The Introduction to Coin Collecting program is intended to educate novice collectors of all ages about the study and collection of money, including coins, tokens, medals and paper currency, for interpretation and preservation of history and culture from ancient times to the present.

Each of the coin collecting events is open to the public, and students six years old and above will receive free coins, refreshments and the chance to win a door prize for attending. The one-hour events, held on Saturday, November 9, 2002, will take place at the following times and locations:
