Workbrain's highly scalable solution and retail expertise
will help Winn-Dixie execute a comprehensive employee
relationship management strategy to enhance decision-making,
control labor costs, and increase focus on customer service
Workbrain, Inc., the industry standard for Employee Relationship Management (ERM), today announced that Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. (NYSE: WIN), the 8th largest grocer in the U.S., has standardized on Workbrain(TM) RetailERM. Winn-Dixie will use Workbrain's highly scalable RetailERM solution to automate its workforce management processes for over 110,000 employees in more than 1,070 retail grocery stores, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants. RetailERM will automate operational HR processes and provide managers with detailed real-time reports, enabling them to make decisions to help Winn-Dixie control labor costs, increase focus on customer service, and manage employees more efficiently.
Winn-Dixie required a fully integrated, 100% Web-based solution to manage complex operational HR processes, including employee time, attendance, and leave management, as well as reporting and analytics. Workbrain RetailERM provides Winn-Dixie with applications for time capture, shift trading, uniform requisitions, personal information changes, vacation and leave requests, customized reporting, and advanced employee and manager self-service. In addition, RetailERM enables Winn-Dixie to transform other frequent employee interactions as the need arises. Employees will have the ability to access RetailERM at work, from home, as well as via mobile devices.
RetailERM provides Winn-Dixie's managers with insight into detailed information on key workplace metrics, such as real-time analysis of employee vacation balances, and departmental staffing requirements. Workbrain plays an important role in employee scheduling, by providing detailed information on employee skill sets, availability, and actual hours worked to store managers. RetailERM enables Winn-Dixie to control labor and administration costs by minimizing payroll errors, accelerating process cycle times, and deploying employees more efficiently.
RetailERM is a low bandwidth, highly scalable solution, which is a key criterion for Winn-Dixie because they have low bandwidth connections in most stores. The solution can be rolled-out quickly across the organization, with minimal burden on the IT department. In addition, RetailERM's Open Business Rules(TM) make it easy for Winn-Dixie to apply business rules consistently across the organization, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Workbrain ERM's architecture, based on the J2EE(TM) standard, enables Winn-Dixie to easily integrate RetailERM with its existing and future infrastructure and systems.
"Winn-Dixie's selection of RetailERM further illustrates that our solution is the de facto ERM standard for large, geographically disparate retail organizations," added David Stein, senior vice president at Workbrain. "Retailers are buying into our vision for employee relationship management because they see the value it delivers by simplifying and enriching the workplace experience for employees. As a result, employees have more time and motivation to assist customers and contribute to corporate profitability."
