SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 2002
Fair, Isaac and Company, Incorporated (NYSE:FIC), the leading provider of analytics and decision technology, announced today that Hudson's Bay Company (TSX:HBC), Canada's largest and oldest retailer, has selected Fair, Isaac's latest release of TRIAD(TM) adaptive control system to increase customer value and boost portfolio profitability.
Entering its fifth century in business, Hudson's Bay Company has been a user of Fair, Isaac's industry-leading Strategy Machine(TM) solutions in credit account management since 1996. TRIAD allows the retailer to apply Fair, Isaac's analytic and decision technology along with business expertise to automate key credit decisions while managing customer accounts. The upgrade to TRIAD 7, which Fair, Isaac made available worldwide in January 2002, will enable Hudson's Bay Company to benefit from even greater decisioning power and flexibility. Enhanced features and functionality include refined security options, the ability to manage multiple lines of credit per account, a greatly expanded and more flexible decision key library allowing for more finite segmentation, and more.
"TRIAD has proven to be a very reliable tool in our efforts to build a seamless, adaptive, and customer-focused retail organization," said Mark Christensen, General Manager of the Credit Risk Management group at Hudson's Bay Company. "The new capabilities and increased flexibility of the system provide us with an ability to more accurately read and react to our customers' financial requirements and strengthen our leadership position as a retail organization with an unmatched ability to serve the needs of Canadian consumers."
In addition to TRIAD 7, Hudson's Bay Company also will utilize accompanying design tool Fair, Isaac Strategy Designer(TM) software, which allows the retailer to rapidly create new strategies in real time and mine large datasets to improve treatment strategies. Strategy Designer enables the company to profile strategies at any point for greater understanding of the portfolio and seamlessly transfer those strategies to and from production applications, such as TRIAD.
"Hudson's Bay Company has responded and adapted to the ongoing changes in the Canadian marketplace for a long time," said Doug Clare, Vice President for Retail Strategy Software. "A true understanding of the portfolio -- and ultimately individual customers -- is key to maintaining a competitive edge in challenging times. The enhanced analytic and decisioning capabilities of TRIAD 7 provide Hudson's Bay Company with an effective tool that puts complex customer strategies into action quickly, leading to new levels of profitability."
