Infonet Services Corporation (NYSE:IN) (FSE:IN), a leading provider of global communications services for multinationals, today announced that they have signed a long-term contract with Tecno Ingenieria Aplicada, a leading provider of consulting services for the development of educational software for organizations in Mexico. This initiative enables Tecno Ingenieria to function as an application service provider (ASP) for its complete line of educational solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Infonet will provide Tecno Ingenieria with high-quality application to network availability, allowing Tecno Ingenieria to host its own e-learning solutions, virtual library management, and B2B and B2C exchanges. This service, which will be offered to libraries, universities and K-12 organizations within Mexico will result in better service for Tecno Ingenieria's current and future clients. In addition, Infonet's network will provide Tecno Ingenieria with e-procurement capabilities and ASP business model benefits.

In order to ensure that Tecno Ingenieria would receive optimal network performance, Infonet used its Application-Defined Networking (ADN) methodology to analyze Tecno Ingenieria's existing network infrastructure and prioritize the enterprise class levels of software. This consultative approach allows Infonet to determine the best way to achieve outstanding application performance for its clients, ensuring that they operate according to the highest quality standards.
