MediaBin Inc. today announced the launch of MediaBin version 2.3 Digital Asset Management software.
MediaBin 2.3 leverages Web services technology to streamline operations and make marketing and eBusiness processes more efficient for global enterprises. The new Web-enabled applications include online asset ordering, project management for marketing collateral, integration with Microsoft Content Management Server 2002, and a Quark plug-in.
"With complex infrastructures and widely distributed stakeholders, Global 2000 corporations are increasingly relying on the benefits of Web services to improve internal processes, customer interactions, and channel operations," said Robert Estes, vice president of product marketing at MediaBin Inc. "All of the new MediaBin 2.3 applications were developed in response to customer requests for more powerful, enterprise-level Digital Asset Management capabilities that will help them break down information silos and share critical assets throughout the enterprise."
Sold as add-ons to the core MediaBin Asset Manager(TM) product, the new Web-enabled applications include:
-- MediaBin Order Fulfillment(TM) - enables MediaBin users to place orders via the Web for assets in the MediaBin catalog and receive those assets in a variety of electronic and hardcopy formats. -- MediaBin Project Manager(TM) - enables marketers to collaborate with vendors over the Web in the design and production of marketing materials and track the status of all ongoing projects. -- MediaBin Content Connector(TM) for Microsoft Content Management Server (CMS) 2002 - executed on the Microsoft .NET platform, the MediaBin Content Connector for CMS 2002 makes it easy for Microsoft CMS users to add rich media assets stored in the MediaBin directly to Web pages. -- MediaBin Quark Plug-In(TM) - enables QuarkXPress users to store documents and all of their components within the MediaBin asset catalog so that individual elements can be reused.
Along with the new applications available in MediaBin 2.3, MediaBin Asset Manager now includes support for LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) and features an updated MediaBin Deployment Agent(TM), the scheduling application with both push and pull asset distribution capabilities.
