BSQUARE Helps Shape Industry Standards As Member of Open Mobile Alliance; New Global Organization Aims to Foster Growth in Wireless Technology Markets

Recognizing the critical importance of common, open industry standards for seamless interoperability of wireless devices and services, BSQUARE Corporation (Nasdaq:BSQR) today announced that it has joined the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA).
OMA, which was officially formed in June 2002 and includes more than 200 companies in the wireless industry, plans to streamline the adoption of high-quality open industry standards and specifications based on market requirements.
The mission of the Open Mobile Alliance is to grow the market for the entire mobile industry by removing the barriers to global user adoption and by ensuring seamless application interoperability while allowing businesses to compete through innovation and differentiation.
