SILVER SPRING, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2002
Beginning September 23, members of American Airlines AAdvantage, Delta SkyMiles, Northwest Airlines WorldPerks, US Airways Dividend Miles and United Mileage Plus will receive double miles when staying at any of the 3,300 hotels in the U.S. and Caribbean franchised by Choice Hotels International (NYSE:CHH).
Throughout the promotion, which ends December 15, guests at Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Clarion, Sleep Inn and MainStay Suites brand hotels in the U.S. and the Caribbean can earn 500 miles per stay instead of the standard 250 miles. Guests at Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn brand hotels can earn 300 miles per stay instead of the standard 150 miles.
"Autumn is traditionally the season when business travel kicks back into high gear," said Wayne Wielgus, Choice Hotels' senior vice president, marketing. "By launching our promotion at this critical time, we expect to capture an even greater share of the business travel market."
Wielgus added that the promotion represents an ideal platform for introducing Choice Hotels' newest partnership with United. "With a global route network that offers more than 1,900 flights per day, United is clearly a leader in worldwide air travel," Wielgus said. "We are delighted to extend our double miles offer to United's frequent flyers."
To receive double miles, guests need only to stay at a qualifying rate(1) and provide the selected airline frequency program member number upon check-in.
Choice Hotels will advertise the double miles promotion through targeted media such as airline frequent flier membership inserts and electronic statements, as well as selected print advertisements in USA TODAY, Black Enterprise and InsideFlyer.
