HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2002
Bradmark Technologies Inc., an established provider of data management solutions, today announced an OEM agreement with Expand Beyond, the worldwide leader in mobile software for enterprise management. The agreement marks the launch of NORAD mobile solutions, powered by Expand Beyond.
By partnering with Expand Beyond, Bradmark has added powerful mobile functionality to its flagship NORAD(TM) solutions. Mobile functionality ensures that IT professionals have secure access to their business-critical systems from wireless handheld computers, even when they are hours or miles away from the nearest Internet or desktop connection.
"With NORAD mobile solutions, Bradmark is the first company in our industry to offer true wireless functionality for a complete line of software products," stated Brad Tashenberg, chairman and chief executive officer of Bradmark Technologies. "By integrating Expand Beyond mobile software with NORAD, our customers can respond to both routine and critical notifications on-the-spot, offering unprecedented control over enterprise applications, databases and operating systems. With this partnership, we have added a new dimension to the concept of Service-Level Management."
Bradmark's NORAD software monitors and manages databases, applications and operating systems, providing IT departments with real-time feedback and optional automatic corrective action of problematic events to ensure maximum performance, availability and reliability. The new mobile functionality from Expand Beyond extends NORAD beyond the confines of the office, providing 24x7 anytime-anywhere administration of critical resources and applications. Upon receiving NORAD notification of pending failures or issues via e-mail or paging, IT professionals can launch Expand Beyond mobile software on their handheld device to check the status of the system and make changes in real-time to fix the issues. When IT professionals return to the office, they can utilize NORAD for further diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting.
"In the 1990s CTOs insisted that software vendors factor the Internet into their solutions," said Delana A. Sandy, president at DBA Zone Inc., a worldwide distributor for both companies. "Now, senior management asks about the mobile Internet, so their IT administrators can get the latest information delivered to hand-helds, and then use mobile software to take both proactive and corrective action. Bradmark and Expand Beyond are critical to our success in providing anytime-anywhere enterprise management services to our customers."
NORAD mobile software will be offered directly through Bradmark, as well as through participating Bradmark subsidiaries, distributors and channel partners worldwide. Pricing information can be obtained through the Bradmark sales office in Houston.
