ANN ARBOR, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 2002

Borders Books and Music(R) stores in southeast Michigan will hold a raffle on Tuesday, Sept. 24, for tickets to meet author Stephen King Sept. 29 in Ann Arbor. Fans can enter to win the tickets between the hours of 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday. Each of the two Ann Arbor Borders stores will pick 60 winners; all other Borders locations will draw 10 winners.

Mr. King will sign copies of his latest novel, "From a Buick 8," for a select number of fans at the Arborland Borders Books and Music store in Ann Arbor, Mich., at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29. Mr. King will only sign one copy of "From a Buick 8" for each customer; he will not sign any other memorabilia.

"While the Stephen King event is taking place in an Ann Arbor Borders store, we realize that Mr. King has countless fans in southeast Michigan," said Jill Tewsley, manager of national events for Borders. "Borders wanted to give everyone in the Metro Detroit area the opportunity to meet this popular author, which is why we're making tickets available in stores throughout the area."

Winners will be drawn at 9 p.m. on the 24th at each location, following the raffle entry period, and notified by phone if they are not present. Tickets can be picked up with a valid photo I.D. at the store where the winner entered. Entrants must be at least 18 years old. No purchase is necessary.
