SAVVIS Receives Frost & Sullivan Market Engineering Award for Product

Differentiation Innovation for its "Fast Pack"

Intelligent Hosting(SM) Service

SAVVIS Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:SVVS), a global managed IP and managed hosting services provider, today announced it has been selected as the recipient of the Frost & Sullivan Market Engineering Award for Product Differentiation Innovation for its Fast Pack Intelligent Hosting(SM) Service.

This recognition is the result of market analysis conducted by Frost & Sullivan and documented in a recently completed study entitled "U.S. Business Data Transport Services Market."

The Frost & Sullivan Market Engineering award for Product Differentiation Innovation is presented each year to the company that has best demonstrated the ability to develop and/or advance products with more innovative capabilities than competing vendors and products.

This award recognizes the company's successful adoption of new or existing technology that has become a part of its well-designed product family. Such innovation is expected to significantly contribute to the industry in terms of product performance and degree/rate of technical change.

Frost & Sullivan is recognizing SAVVIS for its Fast Pack Intelligent Hosting(SM) , which is geared toward enterprises that require more powerful managed hosting services, but still desire simplicity and bottom-line value.

With the addition of Fast Pack to its hosting portfolio, SAVVIS now serves the mid-market with sophisticated bundled solutions, without limiting the functionality required for robust Web and enterprise-level services. Fast Pack augments SAVVIS' tailored solutions, which are targeted to larger enterprises, based on specific requirements.

"SAVVIS' is demonstrating innovation, growth and impressive financial stability in a very distressed telecommunications market," said James Clayton, research analyst, Frost & Sullivan. "At a time when service providers are struggling to develop managed hosting solutions that combine affordability with performance, SAVVIS has introduced an innovative new bundled managed hosting offering geared toward companies with common web, enterprise or database hosting requirements."

Wesley Smith, COO of the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform, an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said about Fast Pack, "We required a fully managed solution, bundled with critical core security services, and we needed it operational in days, not months. SAVVIS met this challenge."
