The free public beta will be available for Linux(R) and Mac(R) OS X operating systems soon. The public beta version contains support for new Maya 4.5 features such as the Maya Fluid Effects(TM) Ocean Shader and also supports features available in the new standalone mental ray 3.1 renderer.
