Newsways Chooses PSC Scanners for Distribution Facilities; Falcon 320 Scanner Installation To Create Industry-Leading Distribution System

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 3, 2002
PSC Inc. (PSCX), and Abraham Technical Services, Inc. today announced Newsways Distributors, a Calif.-based distributor of magazines and periodicals, has selected PSC(R) Falcon(R) 320 scanners for its distribution centers.
The scanners will automate Newsways distribution process, eliminating manual processes and maximizing efficiency and data accuracy.
Abraham Technical is initially installing the Falcon 320 scanners into Newsways' Los Angeles, Calif.-based headquarters on a route-by-route basis and then into the distributor's San Diego, Bakersfield, Hayward, Colton and Norwalk field offices. Automation will allow data collected during route deliveries to be quickly and accurately transferred to Newsway's central accounting system, eliminating time-consuming data entry and human error. Rollout will be completed by November 2002.
