Avnet Inc. (NYSE:AVT) today announced its Annual Meeting of Shareholders for its fiscal year ended June 28, 2002 will take place on Nov. 7, 2002 at 2 p.m. Mountain Time, and that the Record Date for this meeting has been set at Sept. 9, 2002.
