ALLEN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 2002

Daisytek International Corporation (Nasdaq:DZTK) has launched the 2003 edition of its Reseller Toolkit, the company's unique Web-based marketing resource for resellers of computer supplies, office products, business machines and peripherals.

Reseller Toolkit, available free to qualified resellers at www.daisytek.com/reseller, offers Daisytek customers in-depth product information and advanced sales support. With more than 5,000 registered resellers visiting the site at least once every two weeks, Reseller Toolkit 2003 is the next generation of the highly popular and successful online sales tool introduced last year.

Arranged around "resource centers," the Reseller Toolkit gives customers detailed market-share information and channel selling strategies on the vast range of IT and office supplies that Daisytek distributes.

"Reseller Toolkit 2003 is one of Daisytek's marketing foundations designed to help our resellers increase sales of both product ranges and brands. We constantly work with vendors to bring information to the reseller that will help them grow their business," said Craig Higgs, senior vice president of marketing for Daisytek's U.S. Division. "It offers more solutions, more often and gives the reseller the opportunity to add real value, not only with up-to-date information, but also with the means to communicate to their customers."

-- Tutorials and the site's Tips & Tricks section keeps customers up-to-date with the latest industry news and advice on selling supplies from leading manufacturers, including Fuji, GENICOM, Hewlett-Packard, Iomega, Logitech, Maxell, Sony and TROY.

-- Reseller Toolkit delivers up-sell information designed to help VARs increase the lifetime value of their customers and increase the profitability of orders by presenting easy product add-on opportunities.

-- Manufacturer multimedia presentations are available that resellers can view and download for use on sales calls or staff training.

-- There's even a new online "e-bid" system designed to enable bidders to win the lowest cost deals on selected product lines.

-- The Marketing Center at Reseller Toolkit offers marketing and sales materials, including online presentations, flyers and brochures from leading suppliers such as Brother and Imation that users can easily preview, download and customize with their own logos, pricing and other information.

-- Other marketing tools include HTML e-mail templates that resellers can adapt to their own products, pricing and offers, and Toolkit Talk, a system customers can use to educate end-users and provide them the information necessary to make buying decisions.

-- Finally, the 2003 Reseller Toolkit includes the Daisytek Poll to solicit feedback to improve the site based on customer suggestions.

A global distributor of computer supplies, office products and accessories, Daisytek has worldwide operations and projected annual revenues approaching $2 billion in the next 12 months. The company, headquartered near Dallas, is a component of the Russell 2000 Index and is listed in the VARBusiness Distribution 25, Forbes Platinum 400 and Bloomberg 100 corporate rankings.
