PHOENIX & MANHASSET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 2002
Semico Research and CMP Media's EE Times have announced a strategic partnership to develop and market exclusive research reports to engineers and technical managers.
The first reports will be distributed starting in October.
Under terms of the agreement, Semico will produce custom reports that define and forecast the internal designs of a large number of market driven hardware platforms, focusing on the semiconductor bill of materials and related issues which characterize each platform.
Based on input from EE Times' editorial staff, Semico will design, develop, edit, manufacture and distribute several versions of each report. Each version will be branded with the Semico logo(s) and trademark(s).
"This partnership is truly unique as it will serve the semiconductor industry's customer base on a broad and reliable basis," said Jan-Charles Fine, CEO of Semico. "As a result of both companies' market research feedback, we know that it will specifically meet the everyday working needs of design engineers and procurement professionals. We hope that it will be the standard reference source for designers the world over."
Paul Miller, EE Times publisher and VP/managing director of CMP's Electronics Group described the arrangement, saying, "Semico's solid industry reputation and our audience's insatiable need for strategic technical and market information makes this a great match. As part of our continual drive to add value to our audience, EE Times subscribers will be entitled to a significant discount on these reports."
Reports will be marketed to EE Times' print and online audiences and sold online via the EE Times Web site, www.eet.com.
